Ukrainian Pension Fund Allocates 68.7 Billion Hryvnias: A Breakdown of Expenditures

According to Пенсії (RSS): Ukraine's Pension Fund has published a report detailing its financing of social payments as of April 13. In April alone, the Fund's offices provided 638.9 thousand services to individuals seeking assistance.
Financing for Social Payments
The report's data shows that 37.5 billion hryvnias were allocated for pension payments. These funds were distributed as follows:
- 6.4 billion hryvnias were disbursed via JSC 'Ukrposhta';
- 31.1 billion hryvnias were paid out through authorized banks;
- 4.9 billion hryvnias were spent on housing subsidies and benefits;
- 2.3 billion hryvnias went to insurance payments, of which 0.9 billion covered sick leave;
- 24 billion hryvnias were designated for social assistance and other payments.
The Pension Fund's report highlights the active role of Ukraine's social security system in financing essential public payments. Maintaining this support is a critical function of the state, especially during a period of significant economic strain. The data indicates the Fund's continued commitment to fulfilling its obligations to vulnerable segments of the population and preserving stability within the social security framework.
