Over 74.6 Billion UAH Disbursed by Pension Fund with 1.2 Million Services Delivered in September

Overview of Social Payment Funding in Ukraine

According to Пенсії (RSS): By September 29, 2023, Ukraine’s social support system had disbursed funds covering pensions, housing subsidies, insurance benefits, and various social aids. During September alone, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided more than 1.2 million services to citizens who sought assistance.

• Pension payments totaled 74.6 billion UAH, broken down as follows:
  • 9.2 billion UAH distributed via JSC "Ukrposhta"
  • 65.4 billion UAH paid through authorized banks
• Housing subsidies and benefits amounted to 1.4 billion UAH
• Insurance payouts reached 3.3 billion UAH, including:
  • 1.9 billion UAH allocated for sick leave compensation
• Social assistance and other related payments totaled 9.4 billion UAH

In September, the Pension Fund delivered 1,201,600 services to individuals accessing its support programs.

These figures highlight the critical role of Ukraine’s social institutions in providing financial relief amid ongoing economic challenges. The considerable volume of pension, subsidy, and social aid payments underscores a vital social policy effort aimed at securing basic income support for vulnerable groups. The high demand for social services reflected in over 1.2 million transactions indicates sustained pressure on social safety nets given the current socio-economic climate.
