According to Пенсії (RSS): Ukraine's Pension Fund has released a report detailing its financing of social payments as of March 31, along with the number of services provided during March. In that period, the Fund's offices handled 1,726,500 service requests from citizens.
Financing for Social Payments
According to the report, 74.6 billion hryvnias were allocated for pension payments, distributed as follows:
- 9.4 billion hryvnias were disbursed via Ukrposhta, the national postal service.
- 65.2 billion hryvnias were paid out through authorized banks.
An additional 4.6 billion hryvnias were spent on housing subsidies and benefits, while 3.8 billion hryvnias went to insurance payments. Of this insurance sum, 2.6 billion hryvnias were designated for sick leave compensation. A further 11.7 billion hryvnias were allocated for state aid and other social payments.
This report highlights the Pension Fund's critical role in Ukraine's social safety net, particularly during a period of significant economic strain. The substantial funds directed toward pensions and other support underscore the state's commitment to its citizens' welfare.
