Ukrainian Pension Fund's April Expenditure: Where 34.8 Billion Hryvnias Were Allocated

According to Пенсії (RSS): Ukraine's Pension Fund has released a report detailing its social payment funding and services provided as of April 12. The total sum allocated for pension payments reached 34.8 billion hryvnias (UAH). Of this amount, 5.9 billion UAH was disbursed via JSC 'Ukrposhta' (the national postal service), while authorized banks distributed 28.9 billion UAH.
Spending on Social Support
Beyond pensions, the fund also allocated funds for the following:
- 4.9 billion UAH for housing subsidies and benefits;
- 2.2 billion UAH for insurance payments, which includes 0.9 billion UAH for sick leave compensation;
- 24.0 billion UAH for social assistance and other payments.
In April, the Pension Fund provided services to 580.6 thousand individuals who applied to its offices. This report highlights the substantial financial commitments of the Ukrainian state to social welfare, a critical function during a period of significant economic strain. The scale of spending on pensions and aid underscores the government's role in providing a social safety net for vulnerable citizens.
