Payments from the government for pensioners and veterans: who needs to submit an application in time

The government has decided to keep the procedure for the payment of a one-time monetary assistance for Independence Day in Ukraine in 2025 unchanged. According to resolution No. 486 dated April 29, 2025, the amounts of payments are determined for various categories of citizens.Assistance can be received by persons with disabilities, combatants, victims of the Revolution of Dignity, and persons with special merits to the country. Also, the family members of deceased war veterans or persons with disabilities can receive financial support.For pensioners with privileged status, the payment is credited automatically, while other persons need to submit an application through the service center of the Pension Fund or online via the electronic services web portal. The application must specify the details of the documents, bank account number, and other mandatory data. Payments are made in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1396 dated December 27, 2023.
