Pensioners will receive more than 5 thousand hryvnias: a special category of recipients named
According to hvylya.net: Starting from 2023, Ukrainians who participated in the struggle for Ukraine's independence and suffered from repression during the communist regime will be able to receive a special pension from the state of more than 5 thousand hryvnias. This decision was made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
This new pension will be provided to those whose repressive structures of Soviet authority were detained or sent to psychiatric hospitals for their political or religious beliefs. According to the report, the pension amount will be indexed annually and currently amounts to more than 5 thousand hryvnias.
Until now, the rules for the payment of this pension have been adopted and will come into effect starting from July 2023. To receive the pension, it is necessary to have a rehabilitation certificate, which will be issued by regional commissions. The application for receiving the pension must be submitted to the Pension Fund, and any additional documents can be sent within three months.
For Ukrainians who have special merits before the state and suffered from repression during the communist regime, from 2023, a new special pension of more than 5 thousand hryvnias from the state will come into effect. This is one of the steps in compensation for the suffering endured in the past.
