Pensioners saving on utilities
Отримувачі пільг на оплату комунальних послуг: хто може розраховувати на допомогу?

Recently it became known that certain categories of pensioners in Ukraine may be exempt from paying utility services. This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

In particular, residents of rural areas who previously worked in positions in state institutions may receive this benefit. Among these pensioners are former educators, medical workers, pharmacy specialists, librarians, agricultural experts, museum workers, and others.

According to representatives of the PFU, benefits are provided individually for each pensioner and are valid for one year from the moment the application is submitted. Family members of the pensioner cannot benefit from this exemption.

Documents for exemption from utility payment can be submitted in various ways: in person at the Pension Fund of Ukraine, through representatives of local authorities, or electronically on the PFU website or in the mobile application 'Pension Fund'.

Other benefits for pensioners

In addition to exemption from utility payment, Ukrainian pensioners have a number of other state benefits. Among them are exemption from land tax, free travel in public transport, and the possibility to use paid parking for free.

Some categories of pensioners may also receive vouchers to sanatoriums (in particular, former prisoners of war), discounts on car insurance, free legal assistance, and additional payments depending on age.

It is said that additional benefits are provided to Ukrainian pensioners regarding payment for utility services, free travel, and other social benefits. It is important that all these benefits are accessible to those who truly have the right to them and are provided in a timely and painless manner.
