Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is actively promoting the idea of receiving missiles to strike targets in Russia. With a range of about 1000 miles, Tomahawk allows strikes against oil and energy facilities deep inside Russia.
The Pentagon has given the White House the 'green light' to transfer high-precision long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. This initiative is not considered negative for the U.S., but the final decision rests with President Donald Trump, American and European officials reported.
It is known that President Trump sharply changed his position after a phone conversation with Russian President Putin. The U.S. administration's stance on providing missiles depends on Trump's decision. Nevertheless, Ukrainian engineers are already looking for ways to solve the launching problems if they arrive from the United States.
The permission to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine is an important step in supporting the country's army and its defense capability. Activating this initiative is a guarantee of Ukraine's independence and security amid geopolitical tensions.
