Zaporizhzhia NPP: local ceasefire will allow critical repairs
According to glavcom.ua: Ukraine has secured a seat on the UNESCO Executive Board for the next 4 years. 137 countries voted for Ukraine, while Russia received only 93 votes and was excluded from voting. The voting took place during the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Zelensky held a meeting
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed issues arising from the events in Donetsk at the meeting and promised to act quickly. He carefully considered the points raised by the guys and promised to address some of them immediately, spending more time on the rest. Issues related to electronic ballots and necessary equipment for combat operations were discussed.
Local ceasefire near Zaporizhzhia NPP
Today, November 7, a local ceasefire took effect near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This has allowed repair work to begin and improve the reliability of the site's connection to the power grid, preventing a potential nuclear accident. After restoration of power supply, preparatory measures began, including mine clearance near the damaged 'Ferosplavnaya-1' 330 kV power line.
Ukraine secured a seat on the UNESCO Executive Board for the next 4 years, displacing Russia. President Zelensky addressed the war issues in Donetsk and began to resolve them at the meeting. The achieved local ceasefire near the Zaporizhzhia NPP will allow for repairs and improve safety at the site.
