Ukrainians abroad can help their relatives by paying voluntary pension contributions on their behalf. This new opportunity has opened up thanks to a decision by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Despite many families being separated due to the war, Ukrainians can now assist their loved ones in forming pension rights, which are crucial for the future. The main thing is to be able to enter into a contract with the Pension Fund to help those who are left in Ukraine without work.

'The main conditions for voluntary participation are the presence of information about the person, in favor of whom the contribution is made, in the register of insured persons of the State Register of Mandatory State Social Insurance and that such a person is not a pensioner,' - reported the PFU.

To take advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to enter into a contract with the PFU in electronic form, as indicated on the official website. The amount of voluntary contributions must be at least the minimum insurance contribution, which currently amounts to 1760 hryvnias per month.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine is implementing a new initiative that allows Ukrainians abroad to pay voluntary pension contributions not only for themselves but also for their relatives. This will provide additional financial support to those who remained in Ukraine but are temporarily not working. It is important to conclude a contract with the Pension Fund of Ukraine, which can even be signed abroad, and to pay an amount no less than the minimum insurance contribution.
