The Ministry of Development Summarized: 569 Women Joined Logistics
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, together with partners, has summarized the interim results of the selection for the project. According to the agency, a total of 569 applications were received from women across Ukraine.
'This project is about new opportunities for Ukrainian women. Logistics today requires qualified personnel, and we see a huge interest among those ready to learn, change professions, and participate in the recovery of the economy. This is another step towards ensuring that women have equal access to jobs and can realize themselves in the modern transport sector,' emphasized Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Serhiy Derkach.
The most applications were received for the educational program 'Manager of Foreign Economic Activity' - 517 applications. The Top-5 regions by the number of applications are: Dnipropetrovsk region - 70 (13.54%); Kyiv - 69 (13.35%); Kyiv region - 68 (13.15%); Lviv region - 39 (7.54%); Kharkiv region - 38 (7.35%).
Statistics by Age and Experience
The majority of applications were submitted by women aged 40-49 years (213 applications). It is also important that 251 participants already have more than a year of experience in the logistics field. Among the received applications, about 43% are women who are temporarily not employed.
For the training program 'Driver of a Forklift' 52 applications were received. The Top-5 regions by the number of applications include Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Kyiv, and Zaporizhia regions. The most active in submitting applications are middle-aged women from industrial and large regions of Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project 'Involving Women in Logistics Professions', the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine received over five hundred applications from interested women from all over the country. The main goal of the project is to create new opportunities for women in the logistics field and ensure equal access to professional opportunities in this industry.
