Cashless payments will become mandatory for vending and mobile trade starting in 2026

According to hvylya.net: Ukrainian entrepreneurs will soon have to allow customers to pay cashless using payment devices according to new rules approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. This initiative will start on January 1, 2026, and will apply throughout Ukraine. Entrepreneurs should use a variety of technologies to ensure the possibility of cashless payments, not necessarily by purchasing traditional POS terminals.

Violations of the new rules are subject to fines, but there are exceptions for entrepreneurs in frontline zones. It should be noted that this is another step towards encouraging the use of cashless payments in Ukraine, which is crucial for the development of e-commerce and increasing the level of financial security of the population.
