Singer Olya Poliakov and her partner Mykhailo Yasyinsky decided to take matters into their own hands and write letters to the European Broadcasting Union. Their goal is to change the rules of the National Selection for Eurovision in Ukraine, which, according to the musicians, unfairly limit the participation of artists who performed in Russia and in occupied territories after 2014. This issue became relevant after the scandal in 2022, when the negative attitude of some artists towards Ukraine became known. Olya Poliakov plans to participate in the next National Selection for Eurovision and demands changes in the participation rules to be able to represent her country on the international stage.
