According to glavcom.ua: In the Kushuhum community of Zaporizhzhia, local residents are worried about the large number of locusts. The event shocked Ihor, who for the first time in 20 years of living here encountered such a phenomenon. The locusts are destroying plants on the lot, which Ihor confirms, noting that they especially love grass and vegetables. Local residents are concerned and believe that the only way to save the harvest is through mass treatment against locusts.
It is reassuring that the village council claims that the locust situation is under control: the insects temporarily leave the reeds due to the heat, but return to the reservoir after the temperature drops. Thus, the problem is temporary and not critical.
