In Vinnytsia region, law enforcement officers quickly detained a man who, on October 12, reported an intention to mine the Vinnytsia railway station. An unknown person called the emergency line 102 and stated that he had explosives. After this, the police quickly identified the 'miner', who turned out to be a 38-year-old resident of the Odessa region.
The Office of the Attorney General completed the preliminary investigation concerning the director of a mining company in Vinnytsia region. He is accused of organizing a scheme to evade payment of rent for the use of subsoil amounting to over 27 million UAH.
The situation and the detention of the man who attempted to mine the Vinnytsia station quickly unfolded thanks to the operational work of law enforcement, allowing the avoidance of real danger for citizens and the establishment of the culprit. The available information regarding the criminal case against the director of the mining company indicates the inadmissibility of law violations and the importance of combating corruption in the country's economy.
