Search for Ukrainians in Poland

The National Prosecutor's Office of Poland has announced a search for two Ukrainians, Yevhen Ivanov, 41, and Oleksandr Kononov, 39, suspected of sabotage on the railway. Both men are involved in damaging railway infrastructure in two separate incidents, causing concern among Polish authorities.

Incidents

The first incident occurred near the village of Mika in the Masovian Voivodeship, where damage to the railway line was recorded. The second case took place near Pulawy in the village of Golub on railway line No. 7, which leads to the border with Ukraine. As a result of these events, Polish authorities issued arrest warrants for both suspects.

According to available information, Ivanov and Kononov acted in cooperation with four other Ukrainian citizens, who are also suspected of involvement in the mentioned sabotage. This has raised additional questions regarding the security of railway transport in the region and potential consequences for Polish-Ukrainian relations.

Incidents related to damage to railway infrastructure can significantly impact transport security and relations between Poland and Ukraine. In the context of political instability in the region, such actions may lead to heightened tensions, especially in light of existing challenges in bilateral relations.

In response to these events, Polish authorities may take additional measures to ensure safety, which could affect Ukrainian citizens who are in Poland.
