According to ХВИЛЯ: The Polish logistics company Grupa Azoty Koltar has obtained the right to operate at railway border crossings with Ukraine by signing an agreement with 'Ukrzaliznytsia'. This is an important step in developing cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the field of logistics and transportation, opening up new opportunities for both countries.
Key crossing points and market entry preparation
One of the key crossing points where Grupa Azoty Koltar plans to operate is 'Yahodin - Dorohusk' and 'Medika - Mostyska'. The company is already preparing the first train with RSM fertilizers from the station in Pulawy, indicating active preparation for entering the Ukrainian market. It should be noted that the company's active preparations to operate in Ukraine began in mid-2025.
In August 2025, Grupa Azoty Koltar reported successful test runs to the Mostyska and Matseiiv stations, confirming the company's readiness for full-scale operations. An important milestone in this cooperation was the receipt of a single safety certificate in October 2025, which became the legal basis for the agreement with 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.
Moreover, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has agreements for direct cooperation with carriers from Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, and Romania, emphasizing the importance of integrating the Ukrainian railway network into European logistics. In 2025, the group's EBITDA increased by 611 million zlotys, indicating the company's positive financial results and its ability to support active development in new markets.
