Polish protesters have blocked the border for trucks again: details of the blockade
Problems have arisen again at the border between Ukraine and Poland, the State Border Guard Service reported. On Saturday, September 6, Polish protesters blocked traffic in front of the 'Medika' crossing point (opposite the Ukrainian 'Shehyni' point). According to the agency, the restrictions only apply to trucks and may last at least 6 hours.
Currently, passenger cars and buses can pass without restrictions. There are 681 trucks in line leaving Ukraine, and around 100 trucks are waiting to enter, currently located in a special area, so their processing will not be delayed. The protest action is taking place one kilometer away from the Polish crossing point.
'We will inform about any changes or complications in traffic additionally,' the agency emphasized.
The Ukrainian and Polish sides are experiencing issues at the border due to protests by Polish demonstrators, which have led to the temporary closure of traffic for trucks at the 'Medika' border point. The situation needs to be monitored closely, as it may affect passenger and freight transport between the countries.
