According to Главком: Lyubov Kolesnykova, an Honored Artist of Ukraine and actress at the Chernihiv Drama Theater, died on May 7, 2023, at the age of 75. Her death was announced by the theater's director, Oksana Tunik-Fryz. A farewell ceremony for the actress will be held on May 8 at the Chernihiv Drama Theater. Kolesnykova was widely recognized for her role as Baba Palazhka in the popular TV series 'Catching Kaidash.'
Life and Career
Born on July 1, 1951, in the village of Ostriv in the Zhytomyr region, Kolesnykova made her stage debut at just 13 years old. She later studied at the Kyiv Variety and Circus Studio, earning her professional training. From 1971, she performed at the Nizhyn Drama Theater named after M. Kotsyubynsky, and in March 1978, she joined the Chernihiv Drama Theater, where she went on to play over 100 roles.
