According to hvylya.net: The United States has resumed shipments of artillery shells and mobile rocket artillery missiles to Ukraine after a temporary suspension last week. This was reported by Reuters, citing American officials.

Ukraine is already receiving 155mm artillery shells and GMLRS rockets for mobile rocket artillery. These are the first shipments following the Trump administration's decision to temporarily halt the sending of certain types of arms due to concerns about critically low levels of American military stocks.

The resumption of supplies happened at a critical moment - Russia launched its largest drone attack since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, launching 728 drones in one night. This prompted President Volodymyr Zelensky to call for tougher sanctions against those 'who buy Russian oil' and finance the war.

'This shows the need for 'biting' sanctions on the sources of income that Russia uses to finance the war,' Zelensky wrote on Telegram after the nighttime attack.

Plans for Arms Deliveries

President Trump had previously stated that he was not aware of the decision to suspend deliveries and promised to send more weapons to Ukraine, especially defensive ones. Among the suspended shipments were 30 Patriot missiles, 8,500 artillery shells, more than 250 precision GMLRS rockets, and 142 Hellfire missiles.

American officials did not disclose the volumes of current supplies or whether the resumption of other types of weapons is planned. The issue of air defense systems remains particularly relevant - Zelensky has instructed to expand contacts with Washington specifically to ensure such supplies.

Trump is also considering sending Patriot missiles to Ukraine; however, the timeline for this decision remains unknown. Kyiv emphasizes that additional air defense systems are critically needed to counter the ongoing drone and missile attacks that Russia has been carrying out since 2022.

Ukraine receives support from the US in the form of artillery shells and mobile rocket artillery missiles, which is crucial in the context of Russia's armed aggression. Zelensky calls for tougher sanctions against Russia and the acquisition of additional air defense systems to ensure the country’s security.
