Post-war reconstruction: what the Ukrainian government and the World Bank plan
According to hvylya.net: At a UN conference in Spain, a meeting took place between Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and World Bank President Ajay Banga. During the meeting, the support provided by the World Bank to the country amid war in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine was discussed.
'Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the World Bank has already allocated over 77 billion dollars to assist Ukraine,' emphasized the Prime Minister.
Shmyhal expressed gratitude for the support and noted that joint projects with the World Bank include infrastructure reconstruction, housing construction for schools, support for small businesses, and the agricultural sector. Additionally, there is talk about preparation for post-war reconstruction and the development of Ukraine's economic integration into the European Union in this context.
Ukraine is actively cooperating with the World Bank on important projects and reforms aimed at improving the lives of citizens and restoring the country's economy.
