The government launches Family Home: how conditions will change for orphans
Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko participated in the ceremony of presenting the award 'Family for every child. Better Care Awards'. She noted that this event takes place on Universal Children's Day and expressed gratitude to the participants for their care for the little citizens.
Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized the importance and systematic work of supporting children, as they are our present, not just the future. She also highlighted a number of decisions that the government has made to improve the living conditions of children in Ukraine.
Measures to support children
- The government established a response procedure for cases of violence against children and strengthened the protection of those affected by Russian aggression.
- The 'Family Home' project for orphans and children deprived of parental care has been launched. This initiative will operate in the first phase in 12 regions and create a new space for helping children adapt to independent living.
- The principle of 'money follows the child' has been introduced, which provides for increased payments for foster parents and guardians in family-type children's homes.
'We will continue to support all initiatives that protect the rights of our children and give them the opportunity to grow up in a safe and caring environment,' added Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister participated in an important ceremony and expressed her support for measures aimed at improving the living conditions of children in the country. She also stated that the government will continue to work on initiatives aimed at protecting children's rights and their well-being.
