In 2026, PrivatBank will implement updated cash withdrawal rules for cardholders. The new restrictions will affect most clients and will include clear daily and monthly limits depending on the type of card and tariff package. The bank explains that the changes aim to reduce the load on the ATM network and increase the security of transactions. This is reported by Vchasno.

The financial institution emphasizes that the new rules are aimed at the stable operation of ATMs and optimizing cash collection processes. For most clients, the changes will be almost unnoticeable, as the standard limits will remain sufficient for daily expenditures.

The updated system provides for a differentiated approach. Limits will depend on:

  • the type of card and tariff package;

  • the client's status;

  • the type of transaction — hryvnia or foreign currency.

For holders of premium cards, the maximum withdrawal amounts will remain higher. Meanwhile, for standard cards, the limits will be optimized according to the average needs of users.

Specific restrictions will apply for transactions involving foreign currency. Withdrawals of dollars and euros at ATMs and branches may have lower limits due to regulatory requirements and limited cash availability. The bank states that this is necessary for the stability of the currency market and to prevent speculation.

Business clients will have expanded capabilities for working with cash; however, withdrawing large sums will need prior approval. This will allow the bank to better control risks and ensure transparency in the financial operations of companies.

Clients are advised to check their personal limits in the Privat24 application in advance, especially before and after festive periods.

Earlier, Oschadbank changed tariffs for pensioners for cash withdrawals at ATMs.
