According to Главком: The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center predicts a warm and dry day with no significant precipitation for Sunday, April 5. Skies will be partly cloudy across the country, though isolated light rain is possible overnight in some southeastern and eastern regions. This pleasant spring weather pattern is typical for early April in the region.
Winds will be predominantly northwesterly at 7-12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from 2 to 7°C, rising to highs of 11-16°C during the day. In the southern part of the country, including Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia, the mercury could climb as high as 19°C. In the Carpathian Mountains, expect nighttime lows of 0-5°C and daytime highs of 9-14°C.
Conditions for Kyiv Region and the Capital
Kyiv and the surrounding region will also experience partly cloudy conditions with no rain. In Kyiv Oblast, temperatures will be 2-7°C at night and 11-16°C in the daytime. Within the city of Kyiv itself, expect overnight lows of 5 to 7°C, warming to 13-15°C during the day.
The fine weather is ideal for outdoor activities and is likely to draw people to parks and recreational areas. These conditions are also favorable for the start of the agricultural season, as the warming soil temperatures support crucial early spring fieldwork.
