According to Главком: Ukraine's weather outlook for March 9 and the upcoming week calls for partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. According to the State Emergency Service, citing the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, patchy ice may form overnight in the northeastern regions. Winds will be variable in direction, blowing at 3-8 meters per second.

Overnight lows across the country will range from +1°C to -4°C, while daytime highs are expected to reach 9-14°C. In western areas, the daytime temperature could climb as high as 17°C, whereas in the northeast and east, it will be a cooler 6-11°C. Kyiv is also forecast to have partly cloudy and dry conditions on March 9. The capital will see an overnight low around 0°C and a daytime high between 11 and 13°C.
