According to hvylya.net: The Verkhovna Rada is planning to discuss a law on veteran entrepreneurship in August, reported the Minister of Veterans Affairs Natalia Kalmykova.
'There were discussions about ownership percentages, and we decided that for now we will keep it that veteran entrepreneurship will be defined as having 100% ownership by a veteran. We will look at it further. If we see that it makes sense and there is no such fraud where veterans are just being used, then we will consider changes. But for starters, we will establish a clear preference for people who are veterans,'
- Kalmykova explained.
The minister clarified that the bill has already passed the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada, and that addressing the discrimination issues faced by veterans requires action through their own example and highlighting this issue to employers.
According to official information, the next meeting of the Verkhovna Rada will dedicate time to discussing the law on veteran entrepreneurship, which could be an important step in supporting veterans in starting their own businesses.
