The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs named the main distinguishing feature of the Ukrainian and Russian ceasefire memorandums
During a press conference in Istanbul, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhiy, noted the differences between the Ukrainian and Russian exchange documents. He emphasized that, even if the Russian side calls them memorandums, the Ukrainian document appears more logical and constructive, without ultimatums and assertions.
The main difference between these documents lies in their positions regarding the ceasefire. Ukraine supports a ceasefire as a prerequisite for the continuation of negotiations, while Russia has stricter requirements. However, both sides continue negotiations, which indicates their desire to reach constructive agreements in the future.
The Ukrainian and Russian memorandums differ in their approaches to the conditions of exchange and their positions on the ceasefire. Nevertheless, negotiations between the parties continue, indicating their readiness to reach a compromise.
