PFU Decision: A New Method for Calculating Housing Subsidies for Internally Displaced Persons

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has updated its services for internally displaced persons who are forced to rent housing due to the war. They can now use special online calculators to independently determine the amount of state subsidy for housing payment.

Developed in collaboration with international partners, these calculators will help displaced persons take into account various parameters such as residence location, income level, and rental cost to estimate the approximate amount of assistance from the state.

For example, a family of two in Dnipro can expect a subsidy of 5,097 hryvnias under certain rental and income conditions. This will significantly reduce their housing expenses.

It is important to note that these calculators are intended only for preliminary subsidy calculations, and the final decision is made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine after submitting all necessary documents.

Information about the launch of online calculators for displaced persons by the Ministry of Social Policy demonstrates a pragmatic step towards easing the lives of people who find themselves in a difficult situation due to the war.
