Portugal national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo announced that the 2026 World Cup will be his last. This is relayed by 'Glavkom' via Mundo Deportivo.
“Will the next World Cup be the last for me? Of course, this is true, as I will be 41 years old, and I think that in this wonderful tournament, I don’t know... As I said, I enjoy this moment,” Ronaldo stated.
Ronaldo first participated in the World Cup in 2006. Since then, he has represented the Portugal national team, and overall he has 225 matches for the national team, in which he scored 143 goals and provided 46 assists. In 2016, he became the European champion with Portugal, and he also won the Nations League in 2015 and 2019.
In his last speech during the World Cup 2026 qualifiers, Ronaldo confirmed that this tournament will be his last, as he will be 41 years old. The Portuguese is enjoying the moment and expressed hope for a successful performance in this tournament, reports 'Glavkom'.
