According to Главком: On January 1, 2026, Russian terrorists attacked the Chernihiv region and other areas of Ukraine with drones, causing damage to a medical facility in Semenivka, an eco-park in Kharkiv, and railway infrastructure. Around 21:45, the city of Chuhuiv became a target for hostile drones, resulting in damage to important infrastructure objects.
Olexandr Selivertov reported that three enemy drones hit the medical facility, leading to damage to the building. Additionally, in the eco-park in Kharkiv, parrots and pheasants were killed as a result of the attacks. The winter enclosure for predators and the wintering quarters for birds were also destroyed, which significantly impacted the wildlife of the facility.

Olexandr Feldman confirmed that most of the birds in the park were killed due to this attack, highlighting the serious consequences for the ecology and animal husbandry in the region.
