Russia attacked Dnipropetrovsk region: part of the region remained without electricity
Attack on Dnipropetrovsk region
According to Главком: The Russian army attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in damage to infrastructure, fires, and part of the region remaining without electricity. The attack occurred in the evening and at night, affecting the territories of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad districts. As a result of these actions, no one was injured, however, the situation with electricity supply remained complicated.
Part of the region continues to remain without electricity, and work to eliminate the consequences of the attack is ongoing. In this regard, on January 8, electric transport in Dnipro will be replaced by buses. A massive drone attack on energy infrastructure also affected several regions of Ukraine, particularly, most consumers in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions were left without electricity supply.
Restoration of electricity supply
Currently, local services are working on restoring electricity and eliminating the consequences of the attack. The situation remains under control, and efforts to repair the infrastructure continue.
This attack is part of large-scale actions aimed at destabilizing Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Given that electrical networks and energy supply systems remain vulnerable, the importance of rapid restoration of energy supply for normalizing the life of the population and the functioning of the economy is extremely high. Restoring infrastructure will require significant efforts from local authorities and energy companies.
