According to Главком: At night, the Russian army launched a massive attack on the energy infrastructure, striking Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, resulting in power outages for electricity consumers. As of the morning, about 800 thousand consumers remain without electricity supply in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

As a result of the attacks, eight mines in the Dnipropetrovsk region have been shut down. At the same time, electricity supply has been restored in Zaporizhzhia. Additionally, some settlements in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Transcarpathian regions are partially without electricity. In connection with these events, on January 8, electric transport in Dnipro will be replaced by buses.
