Massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure

According to ХВИЛЯ: On December 6, 2025, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, resulting in a reduction in generation at some nuclear power plants. This attack became the eighth massive one since the beginning of 2025. Acting Head of the State Energy Supervision Anatoliy Zamulko reported that the enemy struck objects that ensure the redistribution of electricity.

According to information, the attack was carried out using 704 drones and missiles. Air defense forces managed to neutralize 615 targets. As a result of the attacks, three people were injured in the Kyiv region. There were also reports of damage to suburban trains of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Recovery of the energy system

Anatoliy Zamulko noted that the process of restoring the energy system is already underway. Ukrenergo reported that emergency power outage schedules have been introduced in certain regions. The attacks took place in the following areas:
