Russia attacks Odessa: damaged infrastructure
Ужасна ніч в Одесі: внаслідок російського обстрілу постраждала інфраструктура і одна особа отримала травми.

Odesa Targeted on February 12

According to Главком: Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Odesa during the night of February 12. The strike damaged a key infrastructure site and a local business center. According to Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, one man was wounded in the assault. This attack is part of a wider Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian energy and civilian infrastructure.

Emergency response teams from Ukraine's State Emergency Service and all operational services are working at the sites. The attack caused power outages in parts of Odesa's Khadzhibey and Kyiv districts. This latest incident follows previous strikes on the Odesa region's energy infrastructure on February 10, which resulted in partial blackouts across settlements in three communities.

Critical Regional Situation

The situation in the region remains critical. During a meeting on February 7 involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, officials discussed measures to address the aftermath of massive Russian strikes on the energy grid. It was noted that critical conditions persist not only in Odesa but also in Kyiv and six settlements in the Kherson region.

This attack underscores the persistent threat Russian forces pose to Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, with severe consequences for the functioning of cities and the safety of their residents.

Amid the ongoing war, restoring energy infrastructure and ensuring public safety remain top priorities for Ukrainian authorities and services. International support for these efforts is crucial to help Ukraine manage the consequences of military aggression.
