Russia attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and 165 drones: one dead

According to Главком: On January 5, 2023, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, using nine Iskander-M ballistic missiles, S-300 surface-to-air missiles, and 165 Shahed-type strike drones. As a result of this attack, one person was killed, and three others were injured.
Main directions of the strike and consequences
The main direction of the strike targeted Chernihiv, Kyiv, Vyshhorod, as well as Chernihiv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv regions. As of 08:00 on January 5, Ukraine's air defense had shot down or suppressed 137 enemy drones. Hits from ballistic and surface-to-air missiles, as well as 26 strike drones, were recorded at ten different locations.
Moreover, debris from the downed objects was recorded at nine locations. The attack on Chernihiv using ballistic weapons and drones confirms the escalation of the conflict and the threat to the civilian population.
This attack is part of the ongoing armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on since 2014, and indicates an increase in the intensity of hostilities.
