Assaults on Railway Infrastructure and Medical Facilities

According to Главком: On March 12, Russian military forces struck railway infrastructure in Ukraine, specifically targeting the Sumy and Mykolaiv regions. These attacks resulted in damage to locomotives, railway tracks, and a station building in Sumy Oblast. That same day, an enemy drone hit railway infrastructure in Mykolaiv Oblast, where another locomotive was damaged.

In a separate incident, Russian invaders shelled a hospital in Kherson, injuring three people. During the night of March 12, Russian troops attacked the Koriukivka district in Chernihiv Oblast, where the shelling killed a 15-year-old girl and wounded her parents.

Police Station Strike and Official Commentary

Additionally, on March 11, the Russian army carried out a drone strike on a district police department in Shostka, Sumy Oblast. The attack completely destroyed the police headquarters building and left more than 22 police officers wounded.

“Fortunately, no one was killed. All relevant services are working at the site. Russia continues to deliberately target civilian transport infrastructure, endangering workers and community residents.”

Oleksii Kuleba

These events underscore Russia's ongoing aggressive tactics, which are focused on destroying Ukraine's critical infrastructure. Strikes on railway networks not only disrupt logistics and transportation but also endanger civilian safety. Simultaneously, attacks on medical facilities and civilian objects point to serious violations of international humanitarian law. The escalation of violence in Ukrainian regions highlights the urgent need for continued international support to ensure security and protect human rights in the country. These coordinated strikes on disparate targets represent a broader pattern of attacks against civilian life and essential services.
