According to Главком: On New Year's Eve, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia, resulting in five people being injured, including a 15-year-old boy. According to reports, two women aged 44 and 59 were injured, as well as two men aged 56 and 76. One of the injured was hospitalized for medical assistance.

The blast wave damaged a residential multi-storey building and several passenger cars. After the attack, psychologists from the State Emergency Service (SES) provided support to seven people, three of whom were children.

This attack occurred against the backdrop of other shelling: on December 30, Russian occupation forces struck Zaporizhzhia, resulting in damage to an industrial infrastructure facility, which caused a fire.
