Oleksandr Syrsky: The Russians are abandoning their offensive in the Dobropillya direction
According to glavcom.ua: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported that after the successful actions of the Defense Forces in the Dobropillya direction, the enemy abandoned its offensive in the Novopavlivka direction. According to him, the Russians' presence there is 'declarative'. This information was published by the 'Glavkom' portal, citing the general's statement.
The 'thousand cuts' tactic in the Novopavlivka direction
According to Syrsky, the enemy in the Novopavlivka direction is using the 'thousand cuts' tactic to advance its forces deeper into the territory. He explained that the goal is solely to declare its presence and plant the flag in a building in the locality. The situation there is dynamic, but both sides are facing a shortage of troops. The Russians have more forces in the region, but they lack the strength and means for a decisive offensive.
Ukrainian defense in the Novopavlivka direction
The Commander-in-Chief noted that the enemy attempted to reinforce its positions in the Novopavlivka direction by redeploying marine units from the Sumy direction. This was aimed at breaking through the Ukrainian defense and making a thrust into the Zaporizhia or Dnipropetrovsk region.
Russia has carried out airstrikes in the Zaporizhia region and other areas
In recent days, there have been about 200 combat clashes, the enemy has carried out 59 air strikes and dropped 109 guided aerial bombs. The Russians have also conducted 4396 shelling and used 4774 kamikaze drones to strike the enemy.
It is important to remember that Russia is trying to exaggerate its successes on the front in Ukraine, spreading information about control over larger territories than is true.
The messages from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine underline the change in tactics of the Russian enemy in the Novopavlivka direction and the deepening confrontation. Syrsky's statement raises public awareness about an important moment on the front and the development of the situation in the region.
