Distributed Generation: 'Ukrnafta' Launches New Project
The company 'Ukrnafta' has started the construction of a new power plant for electricity generation in collaboration with international partners and with the support of the government of Ukraine.
The total capacity of the project portfolio will amount to 420 MW, combining various technologies such as gas piston and gas turbine, as well as combined heat and power (CHP) for the production of electricity and heat.
'Electricity production is very important given the significant destruction of the energy capacities of the Russian Federation. With the new modern generation, 'Ukrnafta' will be able to support the energy system of Ukraine,' said acting CEO of PJSC 'Ukrnafta' Yuriy Tkachuk.
It is planned that the installations working on gas from 'Ukrnafta' will be ready for operation by 2026.
PJSC 'Ukrnafta' has launched the project for electricity generation power plant construction in collaboration with international financial institutions and the governments of European countries, as well as with the support of the government of Ukraine. The new power plant is expected to be an important part in supporting the energy system of Ukraine and help address the issue of reduced energy capacities in the country. The 'Ukrnafta' project portfolio will combine various technologies for the production of electricity and heat, designed for a total capacity of 420 MW. The project is expected to be implemented by 2026.
