Sambir Migration Office Announces New Public Service Hours
Sambir Office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine
According to Державна міграційна служба: Located in the historic city of Sambir, which dates back over eight centuries, the Sambir Office is part of the Western Interregional Directorate of Ukraine's State Migration Service. This office, headed by Iryna Nazarko and situated at 18 Ivana Mazepy Street, provides essential services to the public, including passport issuance and migration-related consultations. The State Migration Service is a key agency for Ukrainians, handling vital documentation for travel and residency.
Operating Hours and Services
The Sambir Office's new schedule for receiving visitors is from Tuesday through Saturday. On weekdays, from Tuesday to Friday, the office is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while Saturday hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM. All visits are conducted via an electronic queue system, which can be accessed for registration on the State Migration Service's official website.
Services provided by the Sambir Office include:
- Issuance of a Ukrainian citizen's internal passport,
- Issuance of a Ukrainian international passport,
- Consultations on migration matters.
Iryna Nazarko: 'My team consists of dedicated professionals who approach their work with immense responsibility every day. We understand that every passport we issue and every consultation we provide represents a tangible opportunity for someone. For one person, it's the anticipation of a long journey; for another, the joy of returning home; and for yet another, the beginning of an entirely new chapter in life.'
Beyond its administrative role, Sambir is a city rich in history. In 1944, the Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council was established in the nearby village of Sprynia. Furthermore, Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachny, a prominent Cossack leader, was raised in this region. Thus, the Sambir Migration Office not only fulfills its official functions but also operates within a significant cultural and historical context.
Playing a crucial role for local residents, the Sambir Office ensures access to fundamental passport and migration services. The implementation of the electronic queue system reflects a modern, citizen-centric approach to public service delivery in Ukraine, aimed at improving efficiency and convenience.
