Detention of a Russian military intelligence agent in Odesa

According to Главком: The Security Service of Ukraine has detained a Russian military intelligence agent in Odesa, who was correcting enemy attacks and supporting the occupiers on social media. The detained woman, 52 years old, was unemployed and collected coordinates of objects for attacks on units of the Ukrainian special service. She was arrested during reconnaissance near a restricted object, indicating her active involvement in favor of the enemy.

During searches of the detainee, a smartphone was seized, which contained an agency report for the GRU of the Russian Federation. The investigators informed her of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely:

• part 2 of article 111 (high treason committed in wartime)
• part 2 of article 436 (justification of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine)
• part 1 of article 161 (violation of citizens' equality)

The offender is currently in custody without the right to bail. She faces life imprisonment with property confiscation. It is important to note that against the backdrop of this detention, the Security Service also detained a 16-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi, who was planning a missile strike on a local CHPP. This situation emphasizes the relevance of law enforcement agencies' work in ensuring the country's security amid military aggression.
