What the Minister Discussed at the Meeting with the MFA Team

According to МЗС: At a meeting with the ministry employees, Andriy Sibiga, the head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, presented five main lines of work. One of them is preparing for winter and strengthening energy resilience. At the instruction of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the MFA continues to coordinate with partners on the supply of energy equipment, including transformers and generators.

Five Priorities: From Air Defense to Agricultural Exports

Another key area is enhancing air defense. Ukraine expects to receive additional air defense systems and munitions for them, and continues to develop the Antiballistic Coalition. The minister separately addressed the issue of sanctions pressure. According to him, new restrictions should strike at:

  • the banking system of Russia;
  • Russia's access to critical technologies;
  • both individuals and legal entities involved in the production of ballistic missiles.

Important attention is given to the protection of agricultural exports. It concerns expanding the European Union's quotas, the operation of 'solidarity corridors', restoring free navigation in the Black Sea, and developing infrastructure and logistics. In addition, Kyiv is preparing a package of active international initiatives for the UN General Assembly - these relate to a just peace and updating the global security architecture.

The unchanging tasks of the MFA remain protecting the rights and interests of Ukrainians abroad, increasing the accessibility of consular services, maintaining connections for Ukrainians abroad with their homeland, and enhancing interaction with Ukrainian communities, Andriy Sibiga noted.

This prioritization demonstrates the systemic approach of the Ukrainian government to addressing pressing issues on the international stage. In the context of ongoing aggression and energy instability, the focus on partnership and security becomes a key element of Ukraine's foreign policy. The implementation of these tasks is capable of strengthening Ukraine's position on the international stage and ensuring economic stability during a challenging period. For Russian-speaking readers, it is important to understand: these areas are directly related to Ukraine's preparation to repel aggression and maintain economic stability.

In the context of strengthening international cooperation, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is actively cooperating with the World Congress of Ukrainians. This cooperation aims to strengthen Ukraine's position on the world stage and address pressing issues related to the protection of Ukrainians' interests abroad.
