Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazansky reported that Russian lieutenant Vasyl Marzoyev - the son of the commander of the 18th Combined Arms Army of Russia, General Arkadiy Marzoyev - was killed in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region.

Propagandists claim that 21-year-old Vasyl Marzoyev died 'while performing a combat mission'. An air bomb hit the building where the occupier was located. Russian war correspondents quickly took to crafting a hero out of the general's son.

Journalists reported on the heroic act of Lieutenant Marzoyev, who saved two subordinates from the ruins of the building, suffering his own injury and concussion. He was still able to drag them from a dangerous spot under fire, and then went after a third wounded soldier. Vasyl was buried under rubble during the second airstrike, and he died. He could not be saved, although the paratroopers attempted to rescue him. For his heroism, courage, and selflessness, Marzoyev was posthumously nominated for the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.

Earlier in the Zaporizhzhia region, propagandist Ivan Zuyev was killed as a result of a drone strike, while his colleague Yuriy Voitkevych was seriously injured. Another Russian occupier, producer Yosyp Prigozhin, lost his son-in-law, who died on Ukrainian soil, where he came with weapons and openly justified Russia's military actions against Ukraine.
