German Nannies Raised Putin and Kabaeva’s Sons, Investigation Claims
System Project Investigation Reveals Western Upbringing for Putin’s Children
According to Главком: An investigation by the System Project, published by Bild, alleges that the sons of Vladimir Putin and Alina Kabaeva were raised by Western specialists, including German nationals. The boys in question are Ivan, born in 2015, and Vladimir, born in 2019. Since 2017, around two dozen nannies have worked for the family, at least five of whom were German citizens.
Documents cited in the investigation used terms like 'family' and 'parents.' The nannies reportedly earned about $8,000 per month. They were required to undergo medical checkups, write daily reports, and adhere to a ban on using gadgets during work or posting on social media without prior approval.
Education and Personal Life Details
One nanny, for instance, taught Ivan German words during walks, fishing trips, and berry picking. In 2019, at Christmas, the boy sang a song in German, confirming his language training. Information about Putin and Kabaeva’s sons was backed by data from an agency claiming the children live under the surname Spiridonov. Meanwhile, Putin’s older daughters, Maria and Katerina, are known by other surnames, with Katerina going by Tikhonova.
In connection with reports about Putin’s children, the Telegram channel VCHK-OGPU published footage from a gymnastics performance allegedly featuring Ivan. During press conferences, Vladimir Putin has mentioned watching movies with his young children, but the Kremlin officially does not confirm the existence of joint children between Putin and Kabaeva.
- Putin is known to have a secret daughter named Katerina Krivonogikh, also known as Luiza Rozova.
- She was born to 49-year-old Svetlana Krivonogikh, who became a multimillionaire with assets worth 75 million pounds sterling.
This situation has sparked significant public interest and debate, as it involves the family of one of the world’s most influential politicians.

At the same time, the involvement of Western educators in raising his children might indicate a pursuit of international influence, further complicating Russia’s foreign relations.
