Security and army operations

Syrsky briefed Zelensky on the implementation of the decisions of the Headquarters regarding the creation of a combat-ready reserve for the Defense Forces.

‘The Russian aggressor does not abandon its invasion plans. The Ukrainian army, backed by the entire Ukrainian people, stands in their way, feeling their support’

, he said.

Current focus is on Pokrovsky, Dobropilsky, Novopavlivsky, Kupyansky, as well as the Zaporizhzhia directions. During the meeting, they discussed the need for additional supplies for units in these and other critical sectors of the front, Syrsky emphasized.

Positive trends at the front

The Commander-in-Chief added: ‘We have positive trends in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions - the decisive factor here is the active actions of the 225th Assault Regiment, the 71st Jaeger Brigade, and the units of the Special Operations Forces. Their combat work is an example of courage and professionalism. We continue to work shoulder to shoulder to provide the military with everything necessary to defend Ukraine's independence’.

It should be noted that over the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck five areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment as well as two enemy artillery systems.

The full-scale war in Ukraine is now in its 1280th day.

The participation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in the meeting chaired by the President of Ukraine underscored the importance of discussing the situation at the front and the army's efforts to ensure the security of the state in the conditions of Russian aggression. The expressed optimistic assessments show that the Ukrainian military is ready to defend the country’s independence and continue repelling Russian attacks.
