The first meeting of the temporary investigation commission regarding the so-called «Mindyach tapes», which concern possible influence on state decisions, took place in the Verkhovna Rada. As a result of the discussion, People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that no systemic changes are currently taking place. He explained this on his YouTube channel «Iron MP».

Mindyach tapes: what the TIK meeting revealed

According to the deputy, during the first meeting, officials were unable to explain the situation regarding the possible influence of third parties on personnel decisions and tenders.

«From this, it can be concluded that the authorities do not intend to do anything about it», — noted Zheleznyak.

He added that many officials claimed ignorance; however, this does not change the overall picture.

Influence on state structures: what facts were announced

The materials mention possible influence on:

  • the formation of supervisory boards of state companies
  • financial decisions and lending
  • state procurements, particularly in the defense sector.

In particular, stories regarding appointments in the banking sector and attempts to influence tenders are mentioned.

The issue of supplying bulletproof vests was raised separately. According to the deputy, part of the production did not meet the requirements, and the procurement process was accompanied by delays.

Procurements and bulletproof vests: what is the problem

Zheleznyak stated that due to supply problems, the military could lose time.

«It's good that these bulletproof vests were not purchased. But the question of where they have gone remains open», — he said.

He also emphasized that delays in equipment supply during the war are critically significant.

What will happen next: new meeting and investigation

The next TIK meeting is scheduled for May 14. Key state authority heads, including representatives from the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance, are to be invited.

The deputy noted that parliamentarians plan to gather additional data and prepare specific questions.

At the same time, anti-corruption agencies are expected to play a key role in the investigation. According to Zheleznyak, they have a larger evidentiary base and can provide a legal assessment of the events.

The situation surrounding the «tapes» has become another signal regarding the problems with transparency in state processes. The further development of the case will depend on the results of investigations and the political response from the authorities.

Earlier, Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on details of the lawsuit against him by businessman Timur Mindyach.
