According to hvylya.net: A real mess has occurred in the German Ministry of Defense regarding the financing of aid to Ukraine. The newspaper Bild reported that more than 900 million euros have disappeared from allocated funds for this purpose, causing anger among Bundestag members.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius had previously stated that 9.2 billion euros were designated for aid to Ukraine for the upcoming year. However, the official budget draft only revealed an amount of 8.3 billion euros. There are contradictory explanations from the ministry itself.

A source in the military department is attempting to clarify the discrepancy with financing strategy. According to the staff member, the money that 'disappeared' was intended for co-financing, which should be returned from the European Peace Fund.

However, this response has not convinced German parliamentarians. Deputy from the 'Greens' party, Sebastian Schaefer, expressed serious doubts about the transparency of the budgeting process and demands real support for Ukraine.

Response from Bundestag Deputies

As a result of this scandal, deputies insist on clear explanations from the Ministry of Defense regarding the financing of military aid to Ukraine and the origins of the funds for it.

Corruption scandals in the German government are not new, but in this case, attention is focused on the financing of military aid to Ukraine. Bundestag members demand that the Ministry of Defense justify itself and provide comprehensive explanations regarding financial management.
