From January 1, 2025, Ukrainian drivers are preparing for serious changes that will affect all areas of life, from electric car owners to those traveling abroad. Price increases for fuel and electric vehicles are expected, along with the cancellation of customs relief and the introduction of new digital services.

On the YouTube channel 'AutoTema', a video has appeared where the host discusses important changes that will make a difference in every driver's pocket. Among them is the cancellation of zero customs duties on electric cars and the gradual increase in fuel excise taxes.

Every change is important, as it will directly impact every driver

Rising prices for electric cars and fuel

Starting from 2025, the cost of electric vehicles may rise due to the introduction of VAT and customs duties. This will lead to a 33% increase in electric car prices. Additionally, prices for gasoline, diesel fuel, and autogas will also go up.

Even electric car owners will not be spared from the consequences of rising energy transmission tariffs for businesses.

Warnings to Ukrainians in Poland

Ukrainian drivers in Poland should be careful, as the law regarding the use of Ukrainian driver's licenses will remain in effect until March 2025. After this period and after 180 days of movement within Poland, Ukrainian licenses will become invalid.

Digitalization and new services in 'Diia'

Beginning in 2025, the 'Diia' app will receive updates for military personnel and individuals with disabilities due to the war. Electronic medical certificates for drivers will also be introduced to simplify the process of obtaining them.

Further initiatives in the Verkhovna Rada

The Verkhovna Rada is discussing initiatives aimed at implementing a points penalty system for drivers and a bill regarding the possibility of seizing property and vehicles for debts, even without a court. These changes will bring new challenges and opportunities for Ukrainian car owners.

The changes that will come into force in 2025 will significantly impact every driver in Ukraine: the cost of fuel and electric vehicles will rise, new rules will be in effect, and digital services will be deployed. These changes require careful study and adaptation for effective functioning on the roads.
