Fuel prices in Ukraine will drop in September: expert names the figures
According to hvylya.net: The global oil market has stabilized after the June turbulence, which may lead to a decrease in fuel prices in Ukraine as early as the beginning of autumn.
'The situation is generally calm, considering it is the peak of the season. Purchase prices in Ukraine have also dropped. This creates conditions for cooling retail prices,' - explained expert Serhiy Kuyun.
Forecasted decrease in fuel prices
The expert predicts a possible decrease in gasoline prices to 2 hryvnias per liter and diesel fuel by 1 hryvnia at the beginning of September. As for liquefied gas, prices remain stable.

Information about bioethanol in gasoline
The expert spoke about the implementation of the law on adding 5% alcohol to gasoline, which started on May 1. Due to increased demand and limited supplies of fuel with bioethanol, sales without additives were allowed. However, this gives Ukrainian companies the opportunity to develop their own biofuel production within the country.
Impact of strikes on oil and gas production facilities
Successful attacks by Ukrainian forces on Russian oil facilities have increased the deficit of automotive gasoline in the aggressor country, especially in August-September. The expert believes these strikes will negatively impact Russia, forcing it to restore damaged facilities rather than actively wage war.
'We can quickly replace up to 40% of our consumption from other sources. But can neighboring countries find a buyer for such a volume of fuel?' - said Kuyun.
According to the expert, stabilization of the oil market may lead to a decrease in fuel prices in Ukraine in the near future. The introduction of new legislative norms regarding the addition of bioethanol to gasoline also affects the fuel market. Strikes on important facilities in Russia may lead to fuel shortages in the aggressor country and force it to focus on restoring damaged infrastructure.
