Sofia Rotaru celebrated her 79th birthday on August 7 and shared a new photo on Instagram. The singer, who rarely shows her personal life on social media, appeared in a vyshyvanka with a floral pattern and large bouquets of flowers.

Rotaru is smiling in the shot, and the story was not accompanied by text. She only added a few purple hearts to the photo. The publication became her short response to numerous birthday wishes.

Sofia Rotaru rarely appears on social media

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the singer has almost not participated in social events and does not give interviews. At the same time, she occasionally connects with her followers on her official Instagram.

In particular, Rotaru posted a message on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Russia and shared images of the consequences of the attacks on Kyiv. In 2025, she also showed photos from the Ukrainian capital on her own birthday.

Media speculation about the singer's departure abroad has appeared repeatedly. Her sister Aurika Rotaru has previously denied these rumors, stating that Sofia Rotaru lives in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the artist herself does not comment in the media either on her place of residence or her personal life.
